I haven't been home in the fall since I moved here so it is quite a delight to find that the pinecones shed their frounds all over the ground. It looks like small fall leaves. So pretty. I found out this only happens under certain conditions. It is in years that are very moist and it is only the white fir tree (of which I have a lot!) And next week we will trek around and see our own Colors in the canyons and along the rivers. I like Fall in Lake Almanor. Of course, I just love it here and you all know that.
