Silver Gate Cabin

You can see the edge of the new deck Randy built with lumber sent brought by Debbie that belonged to her son.  It will have rails and staining added next summer.

This green rug disappeared and another was left but nobody knows who did it????

I wish Carole had taken more pictures but she said the cabin is really looking beautiful.

That is the Glendive throw that Myrna gave me that I sent up.  Carole gave the snowshoes to Mom and Dad before she was married.

Brian's picture that I wanted to replace the old store picture of the fisherman supposedly that looked
like Dad was instead put above a door with a light shining on it.  The children are all so in love with the old picture they want to keep it on the fireplace.

Carole said when she hung the picture Richard gave me in the bluish grey colors of the horse and barn, etc to remind me of Montana, she said she was laughing thinking it was probably to remind me of how nice I had it not living in Montana!!!!

She placed the bear lamps in various places and used the comfy fleece throw I sent up to curl up in while she read books as the others played outside in the elements.

Love the new cabinets!

Masseys Go to Silvergate Cabin

Meagan sent pictures from their rainy week at the cabin and their 4th of July in Vernal, Utah.  They were driving home from the cabin and stayed in Vernal.  The celebration was so fun, she said they would love to go there again for the 4th.  Parade and good food!!!

Carole and the Thayne Boys

My sister and Stephie were dropping off some furniture at the cabin today and visited with the Thayne boys and checked out how their cabin is coming along.  Looks really great and I guess that largest log is 30 years old!

The Johnsons are at the Cabin in Silver Gate

My sister Carole and her husband Len with daughter Steph went up to visit Cheri and Jeff Johnson, who are staying at the Relatives's Roost this week.  Cheri is my brother Dick's daughter.

What a view from the front of the cabin.

Carole tries to do something to add her bit to the addition.

Stephanie and Cheri grew up together in Glendive and have a nice reunion.

Jeff and Cheri have just sold their home in Wyoming and have bought a home in Pocatello, Idaho.  Jeff will be the manager of the new Herberger's store there.  What a great opportunity and they will be close to children in Rexburg as well!!

Cheri and Jeff's daughter Jenna was also there to enjoy the cabin this week.

Randy's daughter Charlie left a great touch to the cabin.

Silver Gate Cabin 1963

This is a picture of Carole a year before she married. At the cabin, of course.

This is my brother Dick, his son Roddy with Mom, Carole and Dad.  Carole is the only one of these still living.  Mom and Dad would have been 61 in this picture.
