90th Birthday Party at Linda's Home

Gary and Craig had to blow up all these balloons for the setting Linda wanted.

Maria brought this of what was happening the year I was born!

Linda and Gary prepared a Chipotle type supper with shredded chicken and Cafe Rio dressing and the best guacamole and salad, my favorite kind of meal.  Maria brought the Sprinkles Cupcakes which I have not had in about 5 years...up to $5 each now but well worth it!!!!

Such good food as it always is at Linda's, she and Gary are a good team.

Camber's Dad Greg is a storyteller and he has sooo many!

Pix were taken with everyone.  Granddaughter Kelsi.

Son James

Son-in-law Gary

Daughter Linda

Granddaughter Lea

Grandson Jimmy, He had to leave early to go to work at Jake's, a restaurant.

Kelsi and Lea, my beauty advisors!

Great Grandson Nico volunteered to take a picture with me for a cupcake.

Great Granddaughter Eden,  she always romped with Sadie, he really loves her.  She is a big reader, just like her Mom and Keira.

Great Granddaughter Keira, the sci fi girl who knows how to make movies really well, and is an avid reader.

Meagan's husband Matt is a brain with charm.  I like the beard.

lst Granddaughter Meagan, we had a lot of life together, helping one another.

The darling Massey family! Maria and Johnny gave me the cute sweatshirt!
Not that I ever was gorgeous, but I'll take it.

Daughter Maria, always compassionate and knows just what to give you.

Johnny and Maria, Johnny had to fly from his work site in Bay Area and fly back to come to my party!!!  Appreciated that so much.

These peeps just live down the street.  Their home was always open to me and I lived with them a lot.  James was always generous and even sent me on my $3500 trip to Scandinavia.

Always helping me, Linda and Gary, always there for me, moved me so many times as I changed my hats several times after Richard died.

Wax lips used to be a big thing in my childhood.  I had fun opening a box of candy from Maria and Johnny which was all the candy popular in 1933.

They got into the 1933 candy box and have the candy cigarettes.  It is hard to believe but we had them all the time and nobody thought anything of it.

Camber's Dad came and ate with us, Mary was with Camber at UCSD hospital, she is getting the help she needs now and doing so much better, pray it continues!!!

Jimmy keeps us smiling!

I received many greetings from family who are spread all over the country.

15 grandchildren and families, 13 great grandchildren

I also loved hearing from so many friends and other family.  Great Day!

And Row sent me a Happy Birthday greeting, too.

Linda made a movie of my life and we are watching it at the party!  And there is the open box of 1933 candy.

Morning after the party Linda couldn't walk Sadie as she and Gary were sub teaching in Seminary so I had to quickly get dressed and walk Sadie.   Linda was home when I got back and she took this picture.

What a fantastic birthday I had, does my family know how to throw a party, oh yes!!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2022

We had Christmas Eve dinner at James' house and Meagan and Matt's family were there which made us all happy.

James did the turkey and between us we somehow got the stuffing and mashed
potatoes done and James had gotten some frozen rolls which were very good.

Meagan brought a huge pumpkin and apple pie and whipped cream.

I had made the Romney version of pistachio salad and Christmas Cookies and frosting.

Unfortunately I get too tired as is evidenced by this picture but everyone else looks good!!!

We had fun with white elephant gifts and James read us a little story and the children dressed up in the costumes that Camber has collected.  So Christmas 2002 was with family, yea, not alone!!!

Jacob was back from Hawaii and Lea was back from Bali and Kelsi was here but Jimmy had to work at the restaurant Jake's.

I was late getting up but went over at 1:20 Christmas Day and had leftovers and we opened the presents under the tree.  I was too exhausted to go to Church even but I enjoyed the Tabernacle Choir and Treeo Christmas Ward Meeting on You Tube.

The Hardys were invited to a Christmas party at one of Camber's and Kelsi's friends home in Rancho Santa Fe so I went home to nap and they had more.

Christmas.  I can only do so much partying!!!

At Home and at Park City this Week

Linda invited Kelsi and James to dinner the night before they went to Utah and thought it was cute that they were both doing the same thing.

Early Christmas with the Hardy Family, 2022

Since Linda and Gary will be in Las Vegas with all their family for Christmas, she had the Hardys over for dinner, gingerbread house competition and white elephant.

It was a very fun party and we played a game at the end which Lea kept saying was very good therapy, and we laughed a lot.

Unfortunately Camber has been in the hospital for almost 90 days and we miss her so much!!!

Thanksgiving Dinner and Tree and Rowan

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with Kelly contributing two kinds of rolls, one with orange flavoring and frosting and one plain all in crescent shape.  They rose so well and were so good.

Craig contributed two pies he made, one pecan and the other pumpkin with a streusel pecan top.  Linda made the traditional apple and Gary had made a wonderful pumpkin cheesecake the day before.  All were amazing delicious.

Linda and Gary cooked the turkey in a new flat way with the backbone removed.  Linda made a traditional stuffing and cranberry sauce with the berries and it was all so good.

Someone made the mashed potatoes and gravy, no sure who but so perfect and traditional fresh cooked green beans.

James and Kelsi came over, Craig from LA and Collin was back from the hospital he has been working at.

Rowan was a little feverish so Kelly and Collin took turns rocking him and eating.

Of course, I forgot to take any pictures!!!  But we did decorate the tree on Thanksgiving Eve.

First of all a picture of some of the chefs, where is Linda?

And Rowan is such a doll and smiles for me.

Doing his work, trying to reach and turn over, something!
