Masseys on the Move

Eden and Keira wanted to be on the screen at the Padres ball game and so took pictures like this for Western night!!  I love them.  I never liked wearing hats much but I loved wearing cowboy boots!!  So dang cute!

Keira has been active in Girl Scouts for years and I have always admired Meagan for being so involved in this great program.  You learn so much.  For me it was Camp Fire girls, does that still exist?

Is Nico learning to swim, I think so.  Yea for Nico!!!  I remember when Keira was a tot and getting swimming lessons at Lake Almanor and lots of attention.

Is this the Padre game?  Meagan and Matt always have fun activities and trips planned.  Living a great life I think!!  I wish I knew what they are looking at!  Using all these exclamation points makes me think of something.  I used to type college papers for Meagan's Dad John when he was at UCSD.  I had all the equipment and often down time at the office.  And I remember he was supposed to make a contribution to some Family News or something and so I typed it for him and when I put an exclamation point on it he said to take it off.  That was something he never used and they would know he had not written it.

Eden is always ready for a new adventure and these boogie boards? look really fun!  Yea for the beach and parents who see you get plenty of beach time.

Great picture but where exactly is it? La Jolla Shores?  So great to have friends along for activities.

The Masseys Are Here!!

The Masseys arrived on Tuesday the 25th!!  I so enjoyed having them here.

The monitor I had in Keira's room did not work so Keira had to watch "Annie" on the big screen in the living room.  Sometimes you just have to nap.

Eden is a quiet one who climbs up, looks down and investigates everything.  Unfortunately my yard is very dry and so walking out into the backyard is always an invitation for dirt to stick plus there was sap from the cedar tree so feet and sox and shoes were also covered with stickiness as well as dirt. Nevertheless they seemed to enjoy the yard, hammock, dirt and all.

While Mom and Dad took Keira to the lake I got better acquainted with Eden.  She even gave me big smiles as I let her play with Keira's tinker toy creation.

Eden was happy to pull Sadie in the wagon, but Sadie wouldn't stay there too long.  Sadie was very gentle and patient with both Keira and Eden.   And Keira had him walk over and over and over a little plank in the backyard we called a bridge.  He did her bidding.

Although I didn't do anything too much, I was still tired by the end of the week.  I decided to follow Dr. Tonya's suggestion and ditch the blood pressure pills, I think they make me more tired than playing with great grandchildren.  Both Keira and Eden are delightful. And I love have Meagan and Matt come to visit with their family!

Keira was getting tired of posing and anxious to get on their way to visit her cousin Molly!

Overall Friends.

Eden Turns One

How I love pictures of little Eden with her reddish hair, happy smile, cute little body.  She is a delight.

She is excited, evidently.

Meagan says that Eden loves Keira so much she not only wants to sit by her, she wants to sit on her, so cute.

I especially love this picture, so relaxed and enjoying Life, the way we all should be.

Fun at UTC and More

From the skating rink we went to ride the train.  UTC has a lot of new attractions and makes it a fun place to bring the family.  Matt was a big hit with Keira and Eden and they went on the train with him.

Next we went to the "Egg" which was amazing to me, large rattan eggs with comfy lining--how fun to have one of these in your back yard.

Eden is a "monkey see, monkey do" so when Keira starts sticking out her tongue so does she!

Now you can see how really nice they are inside.

Keira does pretty good at the hula hoop.  We ended up playing on some play equipment right in back of Macys and stayed there for a long time.  Keira made some friends and loved running around with them.  It was a fun afternoon!

On Wednesday I walked on the beach in the  morning.  So beautiful, I do miss the beach when I am away from it.

Then I met Camber. James, and Jimmy for at a Pizzeria and had wonderful pizza for lunch.

In the afternoon I dared to get in the Jacuzzi and had some fun conversations.

Wednesday afternoon I stopped over to Linda's and Kristi, Brynn and Molly were there.  They had come down to see Frenchie.  I enjoyed playing with Brynn.  She is a very talkative and friendly girl.

Kristi looks as beautiful and calm as ever.

I have been following my no eating carbs all month and I think it shows.

Catching Up With Great Grandchildren

Keira enjoys scootering in Munich before coming home.

In their apartment they have a hammock that is lots of fun for Keira and Eden.

Eden is so cute as she climbs in the carriage the only way she knows how.

Poor Molly takes a step off the couch and has to have a pretty pink cast.   She just learned to walk this month, too.

Halloween 2014 with Great Grandchildren and Grandchildren

Kristi said Halloween went with too few pictures and Molly crying too much.

Keira loved trick or treating in her Unicorn costume and Baby Eden looks darling as a duckling.

Melissa is barely recognizable in her white hair!  It was snowing for Halloween in Asheville.

Kelsi is ready for trick or treating in her Rancho Santa Fe neighborhood with friends!

Sarah is a pretty mouse and Ryan a race car driver in Henderson.

Kelly is a diva as always--looks like a 60's flower child.  Peace!

Amy is a logger who looks kind of dangerous with that ax.

Kate looks cute in her boots trick or treating with Molly and Mom and Dad.

Ryan and Amy with a really spooky guy, who is it?  Ryan's grandparents have a neighborhood that really go all out for Halloween.

Case in point, look at this house where Kate is.

Tanner gets in on all the fun with his family and Sarah looks so pretty.

Looks like Halloween is alive and well in 2014.  I was downtown in Chester just as the trick or treaters started from store to store and I was really impressed with the costumes.  I wore my standard sweat shirt and jeans--oh well, nice to be old and do whatever you want even if it is boring.  At least I had a new haircut.
