Happy Birthday Carole!

Here is Grandbaby Raina giving her Grandma Carole a whooping big Happy Birthday!  Carole was #6 in our family and I was the baby at almost 6 years old.   Carole was the only blue eyed blonde in the family.  Carole asked Mom (later in life) if she (Carole) had been unplanned--according to Carole, Mom only smiled.  Anyway, we all adored her, and still do.  Have a happy 71, Carole!

My Birthday again!

Time flies when you are having fun and here it is my birthday time again. Here is Kelsi wearing my birthday hat that Jacob made for me--she looks cuter in it. I tended Kelsi (9 mos) for 10 days and was too exhausted to take a picture while at their home!!! Jacob, Lea, and Jimmy were also there and extended help from Mel with rides and food and bedtime and I was still tired but nevertheless I did enjoy it and love all my darling grandchildren. Happy Birthday, Grandma, almost 3/4 of a century! Posted by Picasa

Happy Birthday! 73 Years Young!

Another birthday on the road. Mary, Suzanne, Sirdon, Dave, and Dean, the other SBA reps from the Disaster Recovery Center, shared my birthday with me at the Country Italian restaurant of Johnny Carino's. I had the grilled salmon which has pecan and sauce on the salad. Really yummy and enough for lunch. My favorite cake is the Red Velvet and it says "Over the Hill" on top of the cake.

All of these SBA reps are from the Sacramento area and have been left to serve in the Beaumont, Tx office. The Texans who served with us were called to the fires in north and central Texas.
