Lake Almanor in January 2000

It is so indescribably beautiful outside, Bandido and I did not want to come in.  It has snowed all day and I've shoveled the driveway three times and the walls on the side of the road are up to my waist but it is so beautiful and so peaceful--the only sounds is the crunch of my boots and it is warm--still around 40 degrees.

The tree are deeply covered with snow and they throw off every once in awhile when it becomes too heavy and you hear a big plop on the roof and on the ground--there are five houses along here with their lights on--two on the east side at each end and then three of us in the middle on the west side so you scan see at night--I love it and I am so glad to be able to have this wonderful beauty, peace and tranquility.

The snow falling and the warmth and the snow sticking to the trees remind me of only two other times when walking in snow like this--no wind, no cold and that was in th spring in junior high walking home from the movies with Berta Mae, Bill, and George and then walking one night at Brianhead with Margot and John --anyway wish you could all experience it.
