This is often how we spent our time while Linda, Gary and Kelly were at work! When I first arrived, Scout and Sadie were a little leary of each other. When Scout got petted, Sadie got jealous. But eventually they became great friends and I could walk them together without much trouble. Scout is a very mellow dog but he barks when someone comes in the house that he does not know. You can definitely tell that Sadie is an old lady and Scout is young and wants to play. Love the dogs in my life.

Amy Visits
Amy brought Harper and Charli over for a visit. Harper is a delightful baby, eager to smile and please. She does not have a dirty face. I think those lines were caused by when I edited the picture, it must have added highlights, bummer.
Focus on Harper, not my many wrinkles!!
Charli is also a very fun child and so smart, of course. She has already stated that she is going to get married in the Temple and she is going to get a boyfriend first. (Her mother put the idea into her head and she remembered it.)
She loves her tricycle and does very well on it so brings it along when she visits. Why not?

Myrna's Daughter
My childhood friend Myrna's daughter. I met Laura years ago when I would stop and visit Myrna in Manhattan Beach on my way back and forth from Lake Almanor and San Diego. Lovely lady with a charming husband and two accomplished daughters. One is in the same medical class as Tanner in Iowa. Small world...
First Day of School for the Masseys
Meagan shared some pictures online of the first day of school. Keira has had this little friend for years. They gp to a Charter School and really likes it.
Eden goes to a public school near home. Meagan says Eden is always prepared. Picks out her clothes the night before and is very organized. Hurray for Eden!!!
Nico loves to tease Eden, I wonder if he will carry this over to school? He looks like he always finds life fun.

My Friend Marjorie
I have not seen Marjorie for quite a while now. She moved from Lake Almanor several years ago to be nearer her daughter and others in Washington. I assume these are great-grandchildren. She is now living with a granddaughter and has her grand piano with her and gives the great-granddaughters piano lessons. She has let her hair go white and stays quite fit. Miss her.
The Reception
Some of Mitch's Family. The reception was held at Lot 8 in Mission Valley with beautiful wall decor and plenty of space for food, drinks, bathrooms, displays, games and fun, and tables with beautiful cloths. The same DJ provided the music and it was fun, lots of dancing. This was a very happy and fun reception.
Amy, her sister Kelly, and Melissa had many outings together as cousins growing up.
The tablecloths were beautiful and the food delicious.
Grandma Janet with Mitch and Bahia. Mitch would not let me miss this wedding. I am so glad I was here.
There was lots of dancing.
Bahia baked her own wedding cake!!! There were donuts and cupcakes and cookies. All so good!!!
Most of the Hardys left at dark but many danced on till 11 pm. Kiera and Eden really liked the dancing.
A tender moment with Eden. I really like this picture.
The first dance.
Mitch's family with the Bride and Groom.
Love this pix with Meagan but why did I keep my sunglasses on?
The Wedding
It was a very lovely wedding. The Brother in law told the story of their romance and they each gave their vows. The music was beautiful as they came down both sides into the setting. Rugs were used suggesting Bahia's heritage. She is actually a Moroccan princess!!
Bahia's family
A kiss for history. All the flowers were done by Bahia and her mother and some were gathered from nature. Beautiful colors.
Mitch's sister Melissa and brother Michael.

Rehearsal Dinner
While some of us were at the rehearsal, some of the wedding people were at Presidio Park holding down the area and setting up the tables and food. Mitch's aunt and uncle and grandparents and some cousins came from Michigan. Mitch had friends from Susanville as well as Bahia's mother and grandfather from Lincoln, Ca.
Mitch and his Dad made all the benches that were used at the wedding and the rehearsal dinner and also one of the tables. They were really nice and they did it because it was cheaper than renting chairs. It was also more attractive, too.
The Grandmothers.
Mitch with his Dad and Uncle.
Mitch was in a boy band group when he was in Susanville and his friends came down and did a lot of the work of moving tables, benches, rugs etc.
Bahia's sister and family. The pinata has been broken. We had delicious Mexican food.
Rehearsal for the Wedding
On Friday, August 16 we were invited to the rehearsal in Balboa Park of Mitch and Bahia's wedding. Stephanie, Carole's daughter, had flown down from Montana and she is taking charge of Maria's dog.
Michael actually came in from North Carolina on Tuesday and flew up to Reno on Wednesday to drive me down to San Diego. We had a nice visit coming down and we got there in good time. Bahia's brother in law is going to marry them.
Bahia looks so cute in her cool short dress practicing coming down the walk.
Bahia with her nieces. They have called Mitch, Uncle Mitch, from the beginning of their romance. He fit right into the family!
The ladies in the wedding party. Melissa in the middle and Bahia's sister, sister in law and college friend plus the nieces.
Others in the wedding party are Mitch's father Mark and his wife and Maria, of course. Also the nephew.

Dr, James Gray, new Cardioligist
Turns out it is a good thing I am going to be in San Diego longer because Dr. Gray is my new cardiologist and he is somewhat of an expert in my problem with the aortic valve. I will have the echocardiogram on the 15th and meet with him on the 28th. Originally the gal said I could be a new patient of his but he had no openings until Sept 25. However, when I explained I would only be there three weeks, she got me in. Scripps is good about that.
Sweet Charli
The other day there was a video if Charli actually climbing up one of those rock walls with Sarah. All the big kids were doing it and she wanted to do it, too, I couldn't get a pix of it but she is so fearless. Only 3!! Sarah was helping her.
