I am so far behind in writing in my blog because I thought I was not going to write anymore.  However, I think I am going to finish my San Diego 2 book and I think it is important

to write in here every day and keep it up because it helps me keep track of my health and other important issues.

Easter 2019

Craig and I were the guests of Linda and Gary at a wonderful fish restaurant.   Wish I could remember the name and place.

April 2019 Health Update

When I come back in the winter of 2020 I should call Scripps if I want to have the infusion to strengthen my bone density.  There is a side effect like the bad flu.

3 is ok, anything over of which mine is 4.6 is eligible for the infusion once a year.

I need to increase my D3 to 5000 and do 1200 of calcium of which 200 is probably in greens so should eat every day.

Biotin is not known if it is really successful.  I read I should not use fish oil with with my daily aspirin and that is it best to use coated aspirin and take with a meal.

The two walks a day for at least 20 minutes is good weight bearing exercise so keep it up in Lake Almanor.

If I have difficulty breathing or shortness of breath or too fast of heart beat etc.  I should report that.  Keep taking the blood pressure medicine as it appears to be working.

Keep stress down and get lots of sleep and eat right.  low on sugar and carbs, no processed food, red meat, gluten, soy, dairy.

Declutter house totally.

Easter Egg Hunt, Pulsipher Home

 The complex where Pulsipher's live in Carlsbad had a Saturday Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch.  Here Amy and Charli are checking out the eggs Charli collected.

Beautiful Melissa

Melissa had such a beautiful post today.  She has the most flawless, gorgeous skin, it must be something you are born with.  Anyway, she is doing well as a budget analyst for a college in Asheville, North Carolina.  Smart girl.  They sent her to leadership training, too, which means they think she has a great career ahead of her.  This last year she got her Masters!!!

Hernandez Hideway

Maria and Johnny took me to a restaurant I have never heard of.  It is out there off the Del Dio Highway, somewhere in the area of the restaurant Richard and I took Arkie too that had catfish back in the '80s.

Anyway, it is a very popular but old Mexican restaurant and the food was delicious!!!

Too Much Snow

Christine from next door sent a picture of my driveway.  Looks like I better stay in San Diego till the snow melts!!!  I let them park their jeep in my driveway in the winter.

Happy Birthday, Marilyn!

James called and offered to take us to lunch today.    Charlie was down the beach somewhere and did not want to go.  He took us on a narrated tour of La Jolla and to this new restaurant, Dukes!!!  The food was fab.

It was really fun and I learned a lot about La Jolla I did not know.  Things have changed so much since I lived there.

Marilyn's birthday is coming up on April 5 and they brought the free birthday cake.  It was amazing.

Heart Monitor Test Results

Today I met with Dr. Kalafat, a neurologist to talk about the catscan.  There is nothing too bad about my head and brains.  My carotid arteries are 49 percent and nothing needs to be done at this time.  The aspirin a day is important, keep it up. The high blood pressure probably should be addressed and she will talk to my heart doctor about it.  I have concluded it is just these issues which make me feel insecure and then I get stressed and blood pressure goes up.  Need to destress and do what makes me feel comfortable instead of what others tell me to do I think.

The assistant to my heart doctor called also and said the monitor I wore showed I am getting rapid heart beats occasionally but not for more than four minutes.  When it happens I should sit down and cough and it will stop.  She says I am not even aware of when it is happening.  As long as I am not getting symptoms that is good, if I do then let them know.

Conclusions I have come to are:

Stop drinking caffeine drinks
No salty foods
No deep fried foods
keep eating healthy and keep walking
Try some yoga or other exercise besides walking, dancing?
Get plenty of sleep
Keep eating healthy!!!!!!  Walk more!!!!

Start the bone broth again.

Even though I have a narrowed aortic artery and carotid artieries if I do not have symptoms I am ok to not have any surgery etc.

I think all the high blood pressure I was having is stress due to money and selling my house...I need to resolve that in my mind and have more faith that all will be well and just keep doing what seems right without stressing about it all.

Balboa Park with Charlie and Marilyn

 Today I took Charlie and Marilyn to Balboa Park and Marilyn and I chose to take The Cherry Blossom Tour and Charlie went off to do her own thing.  I had never seen this but they are all in bloom at this time and you wind down the hill and up.  We watched some musical numbers and ate some interesting food.  It was fun.

The problem was that Balboa Park has a huge problem with parking, traffic, etc. and though they have shuttles you can use, it is very congested.  The shuttle driver complained about it very much.

I regret that we never got a pix of Charlie.  She avoided it like the plague the whole trip.  She did have fun though she said because this street performer used her as a subject and she enjoyed it.

Marilyn and Charlie Visit!

Marilyn and her granddaughter Charlie flew in on March 19 for a week's vacation at the beach house with me.  Marilyn treated us to a Mexican lunch at a favorite place up 101 from here.  It was raining terribly and so dropped Marilyn off by a door and drove around to the back to see if I could find closer parking.  Charlie was with me.  Unfortunately, we went in the wrong door and had to wind our way through this huge kitchen.  They were not too happy about that.  The food was so good and not so expensive as some.  Maria had taken me to the place.  Charlie would not let us take her picture but she took ours.

Kelly and Collin were down so it was a good excuse to get everyone together at the beach house!!!

Great Life for Sadie

Sadie absolutely loves it here on the Del Mar Beach.  She can run free until 8 AM and then there is an area we have to keep the leash on but all the dogs greet each other.  And then we get to the area where the leash comes off and dogs are chasing each other and catching frisbees and balls and she loves to mingle with them.

We try to walk at least twice a day so it is really good for me, too!!!  I enjoy walking on the flat beach opposed to the hills in my mountain home.

So Many Good Places to Eat

Maria and Johnny took me to lunch at ones of the older corner restaurants in Del Mar.  It has all the old pictures of long ago.  Del Mar has changed so much since I moved.  The food was delicious!!!!

And we always have to finish with a walk on the beach.

Eden and Nico Come To Visit

Heart Condition, February 2019

Today my new Primary Doctor Dr. Vaccaris called and said my echocardiogram was abnormal and the heart is not all functioning correctly and it shows I did have a heart attack and she wants me to me with a cardiologist.  So I have an appointment on Wednesday at 2 with a lady Dr. Alhama.

On the night of February 22, 2017, I was hot, and then chills and really feeling sick.  Yes, I did have a fever, first time in forever.  I was not sure I would make it through the night, I felt like my heart was giving out (overactive imagination I guess but my blood pressure was sky high and I had the worst, worst headache ever) and I went to the clinic as soon as it opened.  Probably for the first time in my life I did not even have makeup or hair combed, I felt that bad.  He gave me a prescription for UTI and Sinus Infection and I know I had tendonitis in the knees as well as backache and that headache which went on and on.  I think the pain pills are worse for you than the suffering so I did not take any, and got rid of meds as soon as able.  I spent about three weeks in bed or on the couch, seldom dressed, went nowhere and now I am working outside 2 hours a day to start to do the spring clean up.

I think the above incident is the night I had the heart attack, so that was two years ago.

Birthday at the Beach House

When Maria brought me home there a gang waiting to eat a birthday supper with me!!!  It is good to be near family this winter.  So happy to be here!!!

Lunch and Visit to Richard's Grave

Maria took me to lunch at Nordstrom's and celebrated my birthday and we also visited Richard's grave and such beautiful roses!!  The spot on my nose is from a visit to the dermatologist at Scripps!!!  Zapped me in a few places.

All Dressed Up

I had gotten all dressed up and tried some new eye makeup and then I didn't get to go with Meagan to the downtown theater.  It was raining and storming so bad I couldn't drive to her and it was dangerous for her to drive all the way up to me and then have to bring me home in that muck so she took Keira with her instead!!!  Good for Keira.  It was so dark in my living room, these are the pix I got out of it!!!!  Not bad for 86!

My Job for the Week

The Hardys went on a trip and I take care of the dogs.  At least they were happy all the time!
